Richard Houghton, will take over the position of Vice-Chairman, previously held by Gallagher.

“The U.K. is already an international hub for PR, and by bringing foreign consultancies accredited with the Consultancy Management Standard into the membership, we will be able to raise the standards of PR internationally and promote the reputation of the U.K.’s vibrant PR sector,” Gallagher added. “In the U.K., we will build on our existing services. We plan to increase the number of sector and industry group networks that we run and engage more closely with in-house teams.”
Francis Ingham, Director General of the PRCA, said, “David and I share a common vision of how the Public Relations Consultants Association will grow and bring greater value to its members. PR is going from strength to strength, and the PRCA will help its members to take full advantage of the opportunities that this presents. It is going to be an exciting and dynamic few years.”
